UM is a North American manufacturer. Our headquarters, engineering office and production plant are in Saint-Rémi, Quebec, and Canada and the United States have been our core markets since the company was founded in 1976. Mexico is supported directly as well, with local partner coverage available where it helps.
Plants anywhere in North America deal with UM directly: the person who quotes your part, the engineer who checks its compatibility and the team that manufactures it are all under one roof in Quebec.
Everything UM sells is engineered and manufactured under our own control in Quebec: precision machining, assembly, inspection and, when a part has to be recreated from scratch, reverse engineering and 3D scanning. Being on the same continent as our Canadian and U.S. customers means plant visits, sample exchanges and technical discussions happen without the friction of an ocean in between.
UM does not operate a manufacturing site in the United States or Mexico. Parts for those markets are manufactured in Canada and exported.
