UM supports U.S. beverage, PET and packaging manufacturers with aftermarket replacement parts, engineered solutions and direct technical support from our North American manufacturing operations.
The United States is one of UM's largest and longest-standing markets. U.S. plants are supported directly by UM: quotations, part identification, engineering questions and orders all go to our team in Saint-Rémi, Quebec, a short distance north of the border. Parts are manufactured in Canada and shipped to the customer.
UM does not operate a U.S. office or warehouse. What we offer instead is a manufacturer in the same time zones, on the same continent, that you can call directly.
Sidel, Krones and KHS blow molders are the heart of what we do for U.S. customers, and we support the rest of the line as well:
UM is an independent aftermarket manufacturer. Our parts are compatible with the equipment named above; UM is not affiliated with or endorsed by these OEMs.
The requests we receive most often from U.S. bottling and packaging plants:
Search the catalogue by OEM part number, or send us the reference and we will identify it.
UM's U.S. customers are concentrated in the beverage, bottled water, food and PET packaging industries — the high-speed lines where a worn part costs production every hour it stays on the machine. Our role is to keep those lines running with parts that match the original, and to improve on the original where a component keeps failing.
When an OEM reference is no longer available, when a part is obsolete or when all you have is the worn part itself, our engineering team steps in. We reverse engineer components from a sample, drawing or photo, use 3D scanning to capture complex geometry, and manufacture the part in Canada. Machine audits and overhauls are available to U.S. plants as well.
Parts for U.S. customers are manufactured and shipped from Quebec. Sales and engineering are reached directly — no intermediary — and we handle the export paperwork. Tell us where the part is going and we will confirm lead time and shipping options for your plant.
