Rotary unions, also called rotary joints, carry compressed air, cooling water and oil from the fixed frame of a Sidel blow molder into the rotating blowing wheel. A leaking union wastes air or water and can stop production. UM supplies new air and water rotary unions, including Latty and Maier units, and rebuilds your existing unions.
Every UM rotary union rebuild includes:
Rebuilds cover air, water and multi-circuit water/oil unions for Series 2, Universal and Matrix machines.
When a union is beyond repair, or to keep a spare ready for a planned stop, UM supplies new air and water rotary unions for Sidel machines. Keeping a rebuilt or new spare on the shelf lets you swap the union during a planned stop instead of waiting with the machine down.
Send the OEM part number or the manufacturer's reference on the union (for example Latty or Maier), the machine model and a photo. For a rebuild, send the union to our plant in Saint-Rémi, Quebec.
Our main rotary unions are below. Click a reference to open it in our catalog and add it to your cart.

Most unions can be rebuilt with new bearings, seals and wear bands and a re-chromed shaft. A new unit makes sense when the body is damaged or when you want a spare on hand. Send us a photo and the reference, and we will advise.
Yes. Every unit UM rebuilds is pressure-tested for leakage before shipment.
Common signs are air or water leaking at the union, pressure drops at the stations, and noise or heat at the bearings.
Send us an OEM part number, a drawing, a photo or a sample and our team will confirm availability and compatibility.
