Universal Compact Valves for Sidel Blow Molders

The blowing valves on a Sidel SBO Universal blow molder control preblow, blow, recovery and exhaust at every station. UM's Universal compact valves are a simpler, longer-lasting alternative to the OEM valves, with fewer components, easier installation and a validated service life of more than five years.

What UM Improved

• A single full-length piston replaces the OEM float and piston, so there is no float to fall out or to replace.
• Easier installation: the OEM valve is installed upside down, which lets the float drop out during installation. The UM valve has no float.
• Fewer components mean fewer failure points.
• Rebuilds take about 5% less time, because there are fewer parts to handle.

Drop-In Replacement

UM compact valves are fully interchangeable with the existing Sidel Universal valves, with no machine modifications. Both the original OEM design and the UM improved compact valve are available.

Long Service Life, Simple Maintenance

The UM compact valve has a validated service life of more than five years. A rebuild kit every two years and a new MAC pilot valve every three years keep it performing like new. Series 2 and S2+ machines can also run these valves with the UM Universal retrofit manifold.
