The oven chain on a Krones blow molder carries the preforms through the heating section on spindles. Worn chain links cause spindle play, uneven heating and loading problems. UM supplies all Krones oven chains, with machined chain blocks for a longer service life.
UM chain blocks are machined, which gives them a longer service life. They are fully compatible with OEM spindles and components, so you keep your existing spindles when you replace the chain links.
On UM chains, the circlips that hold the spindles are replaced by two screws, so a spindle can be removed and reinstalled more easily. UM also offers an improved design for the C2 chain, and a retrofit of the C3 design for easier maintenance.
Rebuild kits are available for all Krones chain models, so worn links can be restored with new rollers, shafts and hardware instead of replaced.
Send the machine model, the chain generation (C2 or C3), the pitch (for example 36.4, 40 or 50 mm), the number of links and a photo of a link.
