UM's improved C2 oven chain keeps the Krones C2 layout and works with OEM spindles, but changes how the spindles and axles are held. The result is a chain that is easier to maintain in the machine and lasts longer.
On the OEM C2 chain, each spindle is held by a snap ring that is hard to reach, and removing a spindle needs vertical clearance. The UM design uses front-facing screws instead, so spindles can be removed easily with the chain still in the machine.
The OEM axle is located by a set screw that sits on flat spots machined into the axle. These flats reduce the axle contact surface, and the set screw needs correct torque and alignment, can strip its threads if overtightened, and can loosen over time with heat and shaft movement. UM uses a dog-point set screw instead:
UM supplies the improved C2 chain link, a rebuilt version of the improved chain, complete rebuild kits for C2 links, and C2 links in the OEM design.

Yes. The front-facing screws replace the OEM snap ring, so spindles can be removed and reinstalled with the chain in place.
It gives full contact on the axle, locks like a dowel without loading the threads, needs no torque and cannot loosen over time, which makes the chain stronger and easier to assemble.
